National Sales Manager F/M

The position

Within the food industry, the National Sales Manager occupies a strategic position, pivotal between the company’s global sales strategy and its operational implementation in the field. This role involves close collaboration with the Sales Director, ensuring sales and margin growth across a portfolio of specific products. As leader of a dynamic sales and marketing team, the National Sales Manager aims for excellence in sales performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Team management : Lead a sales and marketing team of direct and indirect professionals, focusing on developing skills, achieving objectives and maximizing sales performance.
  • Sales strategy : Develop and implement a sales strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives, defining clear objectives for the team and building action plans tailored to customer needs.
  • Budget management : Oversee and optimize the budget allocated to the department, ensuring efficient spending and the achievement of financial targets.
  • Business development : Identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions, supporting the team in annual negotiations with distributors to increase sales volumes and margins.
  • Innovation and marketing : Involved in identifying market trends and customer needs, working closely with the marketing department to develop strategies and manage the marketing budget.

Profile requirements

  • Degree from Bac +3 to Bac +5, ideally from a Business School.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the agri-food sector, with proven expertise in team management and key account management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proven leadership, ability to manage and motivate a team, strong customer orientation, initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, resilience, and ability to provide innovative solutions.
