Business Unit Manager F/M

The position

The Business Unit Manager, otherwise known as Branch Manager or Profit Center Manager, oversees the company’s activity and development across its entire geographical or functional perimeter.

The Business Unit Manager proposes a Business Plan in direct liaison with Group General Management, and then implements the strategy developed within his perimeter. He/she prospects, builds up and maintains customer loyalty, and manages the agency, ensuring regular reporting on income statements, budgets, cash flow, profitability, etc. He/she is responsible for ensuring the financial profitability of the Business Unit. He recruits and manages sales staff, consultants and employees. In order to propose new commercial offers and develop existing ones, he/she must monitor the market and the competition. He anticipates technical, financial or legal risks by implementing preventive and evolutionary actions. He/she also acts as the Group’s representative within his/her area of responsibility, and supports employees in their career development.

Profile requirements

  • Higher education in business management, economics or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a management role, ideally with proven experience in managing a business unit or similar position.

Remuneration

The remuneration of a Business Unit Director varies widely, depending on the size of the company, the sector of activity and the scope of the position’s responsibilities. However, remuneration ranges from €80 to €200K gross per annum, with an average of around €100-120K gross per annum.
