The position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a central pillar within retail companies, responsible for the financial, accounting, tax and social management of the organization. Reporting to General Management, this strategic role involves rigorous supervision of the company’s financial health, guaranteeing both legal compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Financial management : Cash management, including monitoring of accounts and banking relationships, and financial arbitrage.
  • Control and reporting : Draw up monthly management charts, audit accounts, prepare annual forecasts and budgets.
  • Investment monitoring : Manage investments, validate fixed assets and monitor financial performance.
  • Compliance and relations : Maintain close relations with tax authorities, guarantee compliance with legal deadlines, and ensure accurate reporting to General Management.
  • Administrative management : Oversee administrative interactions with suppliers and customers, and work closely with operational teams and management.
  • Management : Manage the accounting department and supervise the company’s social management, in collaboration with an HR Manager, for a significant workforce.

Profile requirements

  • Advanced degree in finance or accounting, ideally from a business school (DCG, DSCG, MSTCF) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably with previous experience in an accounting firm and/or the retail sector. Previous managerial experience is highly appreciated.
  • Excellent command of IT tools, proven ability to summarize and negotiate, rigor and ability to work in a demanding environment.

Rémunération

Compensation for the CFO position varies according to experience, qualifications and company size. It generally includes a competitive base salary, potentially supplemented by bonuses based on company performance, as well as other benefits.
