Design and Methods Manager F/M

The position

The Design and Methods Manager in the luxury goods sector is responsible for leading and energizing a team dedicated to the innovation and development of cutting-edge products or technologies. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure project feasibility, profitability and optimized production processes, in line with the high standards of the luxury goods industry.

  • Analysis and project management : Understand and analyze customer needs, formalize proposals, and monitor projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Leadership and management : Supervise the design office team, recruit new talent, set objectives, support skills development, and evaluate performance.
  • Innovation and continuous improvement : Drive innovation initiatives, propose improvements to enhance productivity and quality, and maintain an active technology watch to stay ahead of industry trends.

Profile requirements

  • 3 to 5 years’ higher education in a relevant field (leather goods, production management, engineering/business school).
  • Significant experience of at least 5 to 7 years in a similar position, ideally acquired in the leather goods or luxury goods sector.
  • Mastery of the manufacturing process, luxury manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, proven leadership, and ability to work as part of a team.
