Production Manager F/M

The position

The Production Manager in the agri-food industry is a central element of the plant, linking production strategy to the qualitative and quantitative requirements of customers. Reporting to plant management, they play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving operational performance. His or her technical expertise, coupled with managerial skills, ensures the implementation of the production resources needed to manufacture products that meet market standards and expectations.

  • Management des équipes, avec un accent sur le développement des compétences et le maintien d’un climat social positif. 
  • Organisation et coordination des activités de production pour répondre aux objectifs de quantité, qualité, coûts et délais. 
  • Pilotage et amélioration continue des indicateurs de performance spécifiques au secteur agroalimentaire. 
  • Collaboration étroite avec les services supports pour l’initiation et la mise en œuvre d’améliorations continues (organisationnelles, produits, processus). 
  • Surveillance et reporting régulier sur les indicateurs clés de performance tels que le Taux de Rendement Synthétique (TRS). 

Profile requirements

  • Higher education, ideally from a food industry engineering school or equivalent.
  • At least two years’ previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating ability to effectively manage production resources.
  • Proficiency in performance management tools and proven leadership skills.
  • Sense of responsibility and orientation towards excellence as ongoing objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team spirit and willingness to take on assignments.


Compensation for the position of Production Manager in the food industry is generally determined by the level of experience, specific skills, and the size and location of the company. It may include a base salary, performance bonuses and other company benefits.
