The National Sales & Marketing Manager F/H serves as the primary liaison to the brand’s customers and distributors in the USA and surrounding territories.
The objective is to drive sales growth and increase turnover in line with defined commercial strategies and business goals. This is both a strategic and operational role, requiring adaptability to customer expectations and market dynamics.
As a National Sales & Marketing Manager, your main responsibilities are as follows:
Sales & Business Development (85%) :
- Establish realistic annual revenue targets (« Budget ») with distributors and ensure they are achieved.
- Define and implement the annual sales strategy in collaboration with distributors, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy in the USA and surrounding territories.
- Lead the development of the brand’s sales within the agreed strategy by conducting frequent sales meetings with existing and prospective retailers, distributors, brokers, and key stakeholders.
- Distribute strategic information to distributor field teams, ensuring alignment and execution of sales goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Sales Administration, Logistics, Quality Assurance, Accounting, and Collection to optimize business operations.
- Provide regular internal and external reports on sales progress, project advancements (commercial and marketing), and product listings.
- Prepare market reviews and document customer interactions and business activity to inform strategy and decision-making.
Marketing & Strategic Execution (15%) :
- Support and contribute to the implementation of the marketing strategy in coordination with the International Marketing Manager.
- Negotiate and oversee advertising and promotional plans with distributors, ensuring optimal visibility and brand positioning.
- Ensure seamless execution of marketing and promotional operations at store level, working closely with distributors and retail partners.
- Collaborate with the International Marketing Manager to evaluate and report on the success of promotional activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct ongoing competitive market analysis, tracking industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior through store checks, trade shows, and data collection from retailers and customers.

Profil
You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the US bakery or in-store bakery retail industry. A strong background in Sales and Marketing is essential to succeed in this position.
You possess a solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, distribution networks, US distributor operations, sales techniques, project management, and corporate strategy alignment. You have proven experience in managing customer relationships, negotiating and implementing sales contracts, prospecting new accounts, and executing marketing activities. You are also comfortable using computer and office tools to track performance and analyze market trends effectively.
Beyond your technical expertise, you excel in market intelligence and competitor analysis, allowing you to anticipate trends and adjust strategies accordingly. Your perseverance, communication skills, teamwork, negotiation abilities, and strong organizational mindset enable you to drive results and build lasting business relationships.
